VOLUNTEER COUNSELLOR PLACEMENTS

Orchard Counselling currently offers an opportunity for trainee counsellors and psychotherapists who are hoping to work with clients while completing their training. Applications from qualified counsellors looking to work within the charity sector are also welcome.

 

Volunteers must meet the following criteria for an application to be considered:

• For their course to be recognised by a professional counselling body (ie: BACP)

• To be a registered student member of a professional counselling body

• To arrange to have their own, regular personal therapy sessions

• Use of digital tools (ie: digital conferencing software and using apps, email, internet etc) to at least an intermediate standard.

• To be signed off as 'Fit to Practice' by their principal course tutor/supervisor
